Freed
from the constriction of the heart,
my brother's anger
no longer real,
I send radiance
to the dark places
of the mind.
I am here
with the fire
and the snow,
with the work
and the hunger
and the satisfaction.
There is no other time
but now and,
even though
the cries of the world
still echo,
I open my arms
and let go.
