Winona Baker has written five books of poetry, won international prizes for haiku in 1989 and for tanka in 2001; work is in over 70 N American, Japanese, European and New Zealand anthologies. Her poems have been translated into Japanese, French. Greek, Croatian, Romanian, Yugoslavian. Her latest book is Even a Stone Breathes (Oolichan Press 2000), most recent anthologies Wild Flowers  New Leaves- A Collection of World Haiku (England), Haiku Friends (Japan) and Haiku: a Poet's Guide (USA). She lives in Nanaimo, B.C. Canada. Winona was in a POETS FOR PEACE web anthology two years ago.
